Invitation to the September 2014 CER Regional Assembly

Dear members of Alcoholics Anonymous in Continental Europe,

I hereby invite you to the upcoming quarterly meeting of the Continental European Region (CER) of AA. This meeting will be held online using WebEx, on Saturday September 6, 9:00-15:00 CEST. Anyone who is a member of AA, is welcome to attend.

I am looking forward to meeting you online. Since there are no travel costs, please consider inviting others to join!

This will be a one-day meeting only!
At our previous meeting in Zürich, we decided that online meetings will be limited to one day only. This will be the first such meeting.

Call for agenda items
Please email proposals for agenda items as soon as possible to Sophie, CER Secretary (secretary@alcoholics-anonymous.eu). When submitting an item, please indicate how this would fit our Aims of Region:

To promote communication and cooperation between neighbouring Intergroups, thus implementing our tradition of Unity and creating service boards or committees where needed.
To ensure that the Region recognise areas that are sparsely served by the Fellowship do not remain isolated but become part of the Region’s responsibility.
To share Intergroup experience in the field of co-operation with outside agencies, prisons, health services, schools, social services, alcohol abuse agencies, churches, courts, probation services, industry, and any other appropriate institutions and areas of society.
To increase opportunity for members to participate in our Third Legacy of Service.
To enable members with particular experience to serve wider area.

Call for reports from Officers and Representatives
The September meeting will only have five hours of actual meeting time. Therefore: Please send in a written report if you are a CER Officer and/or a Group/Intergroup Representative. Reports can be e-mailed to the CER Secretary.

By sumitting your written report, we can limit the time on reporting as you would only have to report on events that have happened since your report was written and submitted.
