Let me take this opportunity to thank the Fellowship for allowing me to serve you as your Region Secretary since March 2nd.
Just a few weeks after my election I was privileged to attend the First Regional Secretary Meeting held on 28th and 29th of March at the General Service Office in York. This Meeting was an extremely valuable experience especially for someone like me new to the Secretary Position at Region. All the attendees agreed that it would be beneficial to have such a Meeting on an annual basis.
Even though the Regions vary in their special challenges and CER stands out because it is the most widespread of all of them I believe I could learn a great deal from other Secretaries shares about their experiences in the Position.
So far, the most precious gift of this Meeting has been the E-Mail exchange with some of the other attendees that has started to develop since end of March. It is a true resource of experience, strength and hope and somehow a support network on it´s own. I am curious where this will lead us.
The weeks since then have been filled with some Steering Committee Meetings, E-Mail distributions and more reaching out.
